STEP Support Groups meet regularly in Orange and Rockland Counties in New York and in Bergen County, New Jersey.

"We in the Support Groups have taken the course or have listened to the tapes/CDs.  We meet regularly to air our individual issues and help each other view them from a STEP perspective.  The only charge is your interest in implementing STEP in your relationships."

A Study: A graduate student at the State University of New York at New Paltz conducted a study of Aviva Schwab's STEP workshops in 2003. The results showed highly significant improvements in the variables studied: children's behavior, the quality of the relationship between the adults and their children or students and the effectiveness of the participant's discipline strategies.

The New Jersey Department of Education lists Aviva Schwab as a Professional Development Provider.  Educators can receive professional development hours for participating in STEP workshops.  Click here for more information:

Ask Aviva: Discipline by Phone is available for parents and educators who have questions about the challenges that they are encountering with their children/students.  The first three minutes of a phone consultation are free.  The fee for the remaining time is $2.00 (U.S.) per minute.
